Series Statement

Life on Earth is extremely fragile. Interruptions happen to varying degrees daily. Life is circular; energy/matter is neither created nor destroyed. Circles in our social and environmental experiences exist in true form and in theory, illustrating our interconnectedness with one another, the planet and the Universe. This new body of work is an expression of life interrupted. These works are created with acrylic paint and charcoal on paper and canvas. They are the expression of the inner emotional places that I pass through during my shelter in place experience. The painting’s method is interrupted and fractured in order to illustrate the fragility of what we experience and hold as our truth. Circles play within the fractured space to represent the circular interactions between humanity, planet and universe.
